About
If you’re depressed and reading this it’s likely the biochemical reasoning from your doctor wasn’t good enough. It’s also highly likely that the treatment you received for your depression didn’t work. Weeks of taking antidepressants and ineffective CBT therapy has left you feeling the same or even worse, feeling hopeless. The good news is you probably don’t have depression for life. Depression isn’t to be confused with sadness as they are two completely different forms of misery. Depression is caused by a lack of love and sadness is a normal emotional response to an upsetting event, either real or fictitious, that has personal significance to you. Sadness is usually accompanied with crying but a sufferer of depression doesn’t necessarily cry whilst experiencing this low mood. A quick test to see if you’re depressed and not sad is to see if you yourself or the people around you can cheer you up. If you cannot immediately switch from a low mood to a normal or good mood then you’re depressed not sad. Through a session of SRC you will be guided through the events that are causing your depression, which in turn will give you the self-awareness needed to end it. Session one will inform you of the changes you need to make. Further sessions will prepare you to allow love to enter into your life and how to keep it.
